PEPSI Instrument Element

It is important to note that the Instrument Component Element only allows the user to specify the initial configuration of the instrument. If the user would like to cycle through cross dispersers (CDs), change exposure times, etc. this must be done through the PEPSI instrument Sequencer, which allows iteration through several configurations within an observing sequence.

In the PEPSI PFU Observation Element, the user can select the configuration for each arm (red and blue) of the instrument. This includes: fiber selection, toggling of the Fabry Perot, CD, Exposure Time, Number of Exposures (NExp), and desired SNR. Note that CD3 of the blue arm and CD4 of the red arm CANNOT be used together.
