Data Reduction and Access

PEPSI data is reduced and processed via the PEPSI “Software for Stellar Spectroscopy” (SDS4PEPSI) data reduction pipeline. This pipeline runs on the PEPSI data reduction server and processes all incoming images without interaction from the user. This package is used for comprehensive image processing of the échelle image processing, reduction, and analysis. Standard components for processing and reduction includes bias overscan detection and subtraction, scattered light surface extraction and subtraction, definition of échelle orders, weighted extraction of the orders, wavelength calibration, and continuum fit to the 2D image of extracted orders.
