Main Program

The Main Program Element is accessed by selecting the Main Program Component (which shares its name with the Program Title) at the top of the Science Program Tree. This element displays information such as PI Name, Partner, PI Phone Number and E-mail. PIs should always enter this information as it is passed on as header information to fits files and may impact storage and retrieval of data from the archive.

The contact e-mail may be left blank unless a LBTO staff member has viewed your OT program at your request and/or and is in active communication. In that case, the staff member may fill in their details for ease in directly contacting him/her. The Program Reference may be auto-filled by the OT script generating functions described in the Scripting Basics page.
