Before starting observing with LBC, check with the OSA as soon as possible that the primary mirrors are in thermal equilibrium with the air and do not have temperature gradients across them. If this is the case, it will be extremely difficult if not impossible to collimate. Follow the OSA’s recommendation on whether it is safe to proceed with LBC, or switch to another instrument.
