LBTO Site Information:
The ALTA Forecast is site-specific. It is a project lead by INAF Arcetri observatory whose aim is to automatically forecast the nightly optical turbulence and other relevant atmospheric parameters for ground-based astronomy. It is updated daily at 2 pm MST and is accessible through the LBTO VPN, else requires a login.
The LBTO Info page is a full summary of the current conditions of the summit. It provides real-time sensor readings. When on the LBTO VPN, it also provides additional information, such as a snapshot of the telescope operator’s nightlog. Webcams are distributed throughout the chamber and on the roof to allow remote users a full view of the facility.
