Sept 3, 2026: PEPSI Chamber Lost Pressure Control Update

Pressure is stabilized with the solenoid valve.  PEPSI will be available for shared-risk science pending calibration and restart checkouts.  Work to replace the faulty part will be scheduled at a later date.

Aug 27, 2026: PEPSI Chamber Lost Pressure Control

On August 9, 2026 the PEPSI chamber pressure dropped down and began following atmospheric pressure.  The issue was traced to a proportional valve that was always open and exhausting air to the outlets at the top of the chamber.  Replacement parts have been ordered and we do not expect PEPSI to be available for science until Sept. 20, 2026.
